It's nice to meet you all!

Dear community,

I'm Derek, alias dbchest. I have studied CG and game development for several years across several platforms. That being said, I am only now beginning to take it seriously and Unity is the engine I have chosen to help me reach my personal goals!

I am a marine electrician/refrigeration technician by trade, but I have been passionate about video games since I was a child; gaming is one of the few passions I have cultivated that has never faded from my personal interests, and as a result of this and as I grow older I realize that a career in the gaming industry is the professional road map I should have pursued during my youth, which brings me to this bustling community!

I wanted to introduce myself and to encourage any of you to share your backstories here with me if you feel so inclined!
