TextMesh Pro Issue with text when viewing from distance

    Hi Everyone,

    It's my first time using textmeshpro - love it so far! I hope I'm not asking a dumb question, but I wasn't able to find an answer on the forums.

    My issue is that looking at the text from afar shows these transparent boundary boxes: far.PNG

    Viewing the text from up close eliminates this issue. I'm using the Distance Field Overlay shader:

    Has anyone run into this issue and could perhaps point me in the right direction?

    See the FAQ on the TextMesh Pro User Forum - More specifically Q2 and Q11 :)

    In short, you are seeing these artifacts due to the Ratio of Sampling Point Size to Padding being too small.
