    Hi there,

I am a Unity noob just learning stuff. Did a tutorial to write a procedural terrain generation script and its working good so far. I used the 3rd person controller standard asset in my project for testing, but its not behaving correctly. I basically raised a terrain with a multiple perlin noise script to form a landscape, its some points above its origin now. On the plain terrain the controller is working, yet when its raised its locomotion stays in a jump state and jumping itself does not work anymore. So it seems to be constantly falling without reaching an end.

Project is a standard HDRP core scene in Unity 2021.3.1f1 on Vulkan and Linux. Havent touched too much settings yet.

If you have an idea what could be wrong here, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you and Greetings

Found now that I can set a Groundlayer in the script. Setting it to terrain works and the character runs normally. Yet the moment I jump it enters and endless jump state and the character flies in the air.

Will tinker a bit with it but if I do not find a solution, I am going to write my own scripts. That should enable me to debug it more easily.
