Issue with Boxcast and SweepTest

Hi! I appear to be running into this issue and wanted to ask if a fix was planned at some point, or should I try a different method? Any advice is welcome. Boxcast and sweeptests behave irregular on colliders with backfaces. Its fine with a plane.

Is there anything I can do? Sorry to press, it's just blown 2 days of head scratching :/
