Hey All,

I have searched around for a fix for this, saw two unity forums posts similar, but nothing that worked.

BACKGROUND
This configuration was working properly earlier today, but I was trying to fix a different console error by:
• Removing the Version Control package from the package manager
• Then I deleted my library folder
ISSUE: The below error message pops up when I open Unity, followed by some other errors in the screenshot attached.

I also tried adding the tilemap extras package by url in the package manager and I got another error.

SPECS:

ERROR:

An error occurred while resolving packages:
Project has invalid dependencies:
com.unity.2d.tilemap.extras: Could not clone [https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/2d-extras.git]. Revision [18cae2921070fc149efc3e9a0b410df35309db73] could not be found.

I would greatly appreciate any insight this is a blocker for me right now :/

THANKS!

What exactly are you trying to add though? Tilemap Extras are available as a normal package in the package manager.

For 2019.4, the package does not show up in the Package Manager UI. However, the 1.5.0-preview and 1.6.0-preview.1 versions do exist. You can add them in the Packages/manifest.json like
"com.unity.2d.tilemap.extras": "1.6.0-preview.1",
, and the Unity Editor will pick it up.

I am not certain why adding
"com.unity.2d.tilemap.extras": "https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/2d-extras.git#1.5.0-preview"
does not work for you. Could you try deleting the Packages/package-lock.json file to see if that works? You would also need a valid git install on your system as well.
