So pretty much all tutorials I have found on Cinemachine are about the cameras, but I'm finding it very useful with VRMs allowing the ability to add animations to the character to loop a static walk, then add another animation track to move it around as needed before blending to another animation...it's all great (although if theres a better way to animate custscenes for characters I'm all ears).

The actual question is if there is a way to apply Avatar Masks using multiple animations to cinemachine tracks? I would like to apply different animations together by Mask in the Cinemachine timeline as this would greatly expand the resulting animation options for characters without needin gto make custom animations. Basically having the Animator Layers functionality in the Timeline.

Is this possible and/or is there a better approach to using Animation Layers with Avatar Masks for creating more complex animation?

I'm afraid I don't know much about Cinemachine, but if you add an Override Track to your AnimationTrack on your timeline, you can add a mask to the override track. We use this to run a basic animation and then override the hands with a different animation clip.
