    Hi everyone,

I've looked for an answer in previous topics but the only similar ones that I found are too old to be reliable.
So my question is: I'm using the internal Unity engine for 2D animation, including bones and skinning and 2D IKs as well as the sprite swap function. I can say I'm pretty satisfied, even if sometimes I find it a bit clumcy at use.

Since I never did 2D animation before but I quite enjoy it, I was wondering if I can start learning another, maybe more complex and complete tool for animating in 2D and getting better results. The very important thing is that this external tool has to provide assets (of any kind, I can imagine in the end they will be spritesheets and not .anim files) which can be imported effectively into Unity 2020.

If you think that the 2D animation tool within Unity, coupled with Skinning and Bones and IKs, can definitely be all I need for my 2D animations, just let me know!

Thanks in advance for any suggestion and best,

    Jader
