Is there any way to improve Bloom quality in URP?

    Now Bloom post processing effect in URP looks much worse then in Built-in renderer + Post processing v2 package.
    Bloom in URP looks unacceptably bad, in fact.

    I don't understand what's going on here. So, I made this image. On the left is the built-in result, on the right - URP (on the top image post-processing is off).

    In both cases Color Space is Linear. MSAA is x2.
    Both materials have simple emission map with white lines of the same HDR color (5 intensity)

    Is there any way to improve quality in URP? Do I do something wrong here?

    Hey,

    I have the same issue/result.
    Even with the MK Glow asset, URP has worse glow/bloom than with built-in renderer.
    I also have LESS bloom effect in URP.

    I have no solution for the moment. I'm gonna try HDRP later on to see what that looks like.

    Hey,

    I'm only a designer trying to (re)program once in a while.
    At any rate, MK Glow works perfectly for me now in URP.
    Happy with the look.

    Take a look on how your URP pipeline is set up, especially the resolution you're rendering at. To me it seems you're sampling less pixels, so the result is worse.

    Built-in bloom is a high end bloom effect that is not compatible with most mobile devices

    URP bloom is a lit version of the bloom ... it's very good for low end mobiles
