    For example making my ivory-colored chess pieces black.
    And my black chess pieces ivory.

    One very easily-accessible property you can try is by the Colour picker in the Sprite Renderer of your 2D sprite game object.

    Another avenue you can also consider is the Shadergraph which is offered in for 2D in URP.
