Looking to see if maybe there is a webpage where an artist can claim jobs and then submit the work for review. A freelancing job that after the job is claimed, it's removed form the pool until a decision is made on the submitted work.

Something like this would be worth paying money to claim the job, as long as it was pocket change.

It seems like there would still have to some sort of pre-screening or approval process. You know people would abuse it and claim stuff quickly. If someone posted something and needed it a timely manner, but then have to reject a ton of crap submissions one by one until something good came a long, it could get frustrating and be a time suck.

On the flip side, for the artist, it would end up basically being spec work. Taking the time to do the work then just to have it rejected.

I get what you are thinking, but I don't see a way where it doesn't end up going badly most of the time. Contracting art (or any work) often has challenges unless you have a prior relationship, this kind of thing would seem to lead to more abuse and frustration on both sides.

There would need to be a short time limit to submit the work. If the job is rejected then it returns to the pool, with the posting users permission.

And how about, it's free for people to post jobs, but they must pay for the work. The people doing the work must pay to reserve the work for themself.
