Is it possible to use an Iphone or android phone as an external camera device to compose shot for cutscenes?

    Cheers,

I just signed up for the Open beta. Thank you. I hope to learn more.

I signed up for the Open Beta a while ago. I did not receive anything in my email or junk mail (I have been monitoring my inbox and my junk mail folders). Is the Open Beta still open? I would like to find a way to hook up an Ipad Pro as an external camera device for a cinematic cut scene.

That's odd...but not a disaster. Apologies for whatever gremlin kept that from happening.

The pieces of the Open Beta are rapidly moving their way towards full release. The Cinematic Studio Sample (I referred to in another post of yours) is now fully live.

The iOS companions apps (which include a camera like what your original post requests) are imminent.

I cannot wait for this....seriously...I can't wait to hook up an Ipad Pro and use it as an external camera.
This will be cool. Thank you.

    Cheers,

Did Unity release the tools to hook up an iPad Pro to a virtual camera?

Will I be able to walk my iPad Pro forward, back, left, right and rotate in the physical world and see my virtual camera translate forward, back, left, right and rotate in a Unity scene?

Yes, as long as the device meets the technical requirements. A current generation iPad Pro would certainly work.

Yes, all of this is supported.

Where would I find the instructions to hook up an iPad Pro to Unity?
