Let's say I made a game that excel in it's visuals?
Will Unity be able to promote it somewhere?

Hardly. Unity doesn‘t promote games much, unless there is a give and take but from my perspective this was always an afterthought, ie the game was released weeks or months prior and has proven to be successful. For example an innovative game dev might get the chance to be featured in a blog post about some part of Unity tech that enabled or helped making the game.

This isn‘t a process you can influence beyond making something that stands out in the first place. It probably helps if you subscribe to the Enterprise or Pro plans because then Unity is more likely to have more awareness of your game since you have a more direct channel to Unity devs. Also presenting the game on conferences can be a bigboost especially if it is visually impressive.

If you have a game that stands out visually you have other, better options to get traffic from promotions. But more importantly, if your game truly stands out visually, you won‘t have to do much in order to get this game in front of an interested audience or influencers, ie it is prone to go viral. Alas, very few actually achieve this level of stunningness. Noita is one such example in my book.

With technology that is very recent or experimental being preferred by them. A couple of examples that come to mind are V Rising which is built on the experimental DOTS ECS releases and Ship of Fools which is built on Netcode for GameObjects.

I'm sure that being a studio with a lot of paid Pro seats weighs into that formula as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stunlock Studios (the company behind V Rising) had a source license seeing that they're owned by Tencent.

Unity holds live streams over twitch and youtube, check it out, they do live plays too and you will find information how to send it to them also.

If your goal is to get a few other game developers to say "that's neat" and then move on, then you could try getting Unity's attention (e.g., a hashtag on Twitter).

If your goal is to attract players, on the other hand, then I don't think promotion by Unity will be helpful. You'll want to take your promotion efforts to where players are, not developers.
