    I think this is an issue. I wasn't sure where to put this either. Yet when I click the search icon, the window pops open but its not possible to type something in to the field. I just thought it might be good to draw some attention to this so it can get fixed.

    It works for me. What browser are you using.

    If you press F12, then select the Consoles tab, are there any errors? If so, post them.

    I have this error:
    Uncaught ReferenceError: blank is not defined core.js:59.

    Some javascript bug on this line:
    $search.contents().find('input.gsc-search-button-v2').attr('src',blank).addClass('g-search-icon');

    The variable "blank" is undefined.

    Seems likely that this has something to do with the issue you are experiencing. For javascript, If an error occurs early enough in the life cycle of a thread, everything that should occur after it fails to execute. If the error occurs near the end, all functionality before it will properly execute. Seems that for most of us, the error is occurring late in the life cycle, so we don't see any issues on the front end.

    The search bar itself works for me with Firefox on OS X, but it hasn't actually returned any results in a long time. I just checked again, there's an error that says: "TypeError: google.search.Search.apiary727 is not a function" when I try to search.
