Is Nested Prefabs really need feature in Unity3D?

    Just wanna know how many developers love and wait Nested Prefabs from UT.

    It doesn’t allow overriding properties, and only previews the meshes
    It far from real nested prefabs. I would like to use nested prefabs in way I can use MovieClips in flash.

    I'd love nested prefabs, but I've always managed to design around not having them so far. If/when they get here they'll definitely make some things far more convenient, though.

    Would love nested prefabs. The prefab system doesn't make a lot of sense without it.

    How you manage same objects on the scenes without prefabs?

    No im not trolling. I hate prefabs. I had a bad experience with them early in development where I lost a few weeks of work because my scene got corrupted and took a bunch of stuff with it. This was before I had external version control available with unity... back when it wasnt free with free.

    I completely changed my development and made most of it generated by code.

    Im not completely devoid of prefabs yet... there are a handful of effects that I cant be naffed generating by code at this point in time.

    But they are very basic prefabs, so losing them wouldnt mean jack.

    Nested prefabs should have been fixed ages ago. Their workflow relies heavily on prefabs and to this day I don't understand why they haven't fixed them. It's a huge issue when making a complex game. I had to create my own solution to deal with this issue.

    So yes, fix them already. It's getting ridiculous.
