    Hello,
On my first game project and I have found it hard to find sprites of similair resolution for the game I am trying to build. First I though I would degrade the high resolution sprites manually in order to avoid an unatural contrast, however in game, unity seems to be doing that automatically. I was wondering if it is ok to handle my problem this way.

Also in order to minimize high resolution images I was wondering what the difference was with increasing the "Pixels per unit" and decreasing the object scale.

    Thanks

no difference in except for some cases

like if you use 9-slice or other fringe cases like having smaller size of files

otherwise pixels per unit and scale makes the same effect

Great thanks! Do you think there is any problem with mixing sprites of different resolution?

For the most part there are no issues except:
    * mismatch can look bad especially for pixelart -> doesn't matter too much if it's your learning project where you are using of the shelf assets
    * you are more likely to confuse yourself

One additional difference is that scale affects all the child objects. So I would recommend using pixels per unit where suitable.
