    Hello.
Is it safe to use Unity Beta for game development?
I mean - beta have bugs and i am afraid those bugs will move to release projet (when i will be converting project from Unity-2018-beta to Unity-2018-release).

If you have an existing project of any size, you are bound to hit issues. I had to revert due to general instability and more code then I wanted to fix myself over multiple packages that had substance support.

I'd file some bug reports but I just don't have the time, had to revert. One was the dll reload crashes, fixes didn't make it in 2018 (but are in the latest 2017 patch release). New bug saying it didn't like the main project assembly (maybe harmless VS rebuild might fix but no time to investigate).

None of this is unexpected for a beta so I'm not complaining. And overall it looks better then the 2017 beta's, like shaders didn't break all over the place. And outside of the general dll instability when using .net 4.6 which plagued 2017 also, it's probably one of the more stable beta's I've seen in a while.

I use visual studio with 2018.1 without any problems. For game release I would recommend a non beta version in a few months.

Then report bugs - most of them will be fixed before release. Those that will stay after release, will be there anyway so...
