Is it possible to create a Basketball simulation game the quailty of NBA2k and NBALive within Unity?

    Can Unity physics simulate authentic basketball movement, dribbling, passing, shooting. Is it possible for Mecanim to blend authentic player animation movement...handling basketball, dribbling, pickup, running, jump shots, dunking? Combine physics and player animation.

    Can Unity have programmable AI that realistically reacts to player and ball movement....defense and offense?

    Can Unity C# be programmed to allow users to create own players or scan in players.

    There are several examples of Basketball games made by Unity, yet how close can Unity simulate basketball like NBA2K and NBALive?

    NBA2K and Live workflow...motion capture, Maya cleanup animations, with in-house engines and plugins and scripting/programming.

    Seems like Unity would need customization/plugins.
