Hello. My name is Andrew and I would like some help. I am not sure where to post this, but I need somebody to help me semi-master Pixel Art. My game is currently being created and we have roughly 5 days into the making. Can anyone help by teaching me the fundamentals of pixel art? Maybe some more advanced pieces for Space Crafts? Any help is well appreciated! Thanks!

If you're looking to hire someone to teach you, try the Job Offering board. If you want someone to just donate their time, well... good luck.

Answering a question here and there is one thing, but teaching someone a skill is a time consuming process. Artists of any kind spend years learning their craft, many of them going into debt by attending schools. To just pass all that knowledge along is not only a complicated and probably infeasible task, it also kind of demeans the artist by suggesting it's just a matter of knowledge transfer and boom, you're now a pixel artist.

I recommend you hunt online for existing resources where people have already dedicated time to teaching the pixel art trade. One site that I remember seeing before was "So you want to be a pixel artist", which explained a lot of the complexities of the style fairly well, I think. If you're not already somewhat skilled in art of some kind, though, I wouldn't expect to even semi-master it anytime soon.

There's no short cut to mastery! It takes time, persistence, and patience.
