    Hi,

In my iOS IPA I have this files:
    • sharedassets1.assets : 11.3 Mo.
    • sharedassets1.resource : 3 Mo
    • "unity default resources" : 2 Mo
    • global-metadata.dat : 2 times the same file with exactly the same size = 3.6 Mo (one time in the root folder and the other time in Data/Managed/Metadata). It's the same, exactly the same.
Do you have any idea to help us to understand what are those files ?

    My Android build = 22MO.

My iOS Build > 65 MO.

    I only have one scene.

What is the .asset? .ressource ?

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards,

    AB

    Hi,
sorry to write you again, but I didn't solve this issue.

What is the .dat file ?

I have a warning message in the Unity Editor when I build on iOS : "unknown file extension .dat" for information.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Best regards,

    AB

We have the same warnings appearing after upgrading to 5.2.1.. any ideas what it means?!

Failed to add the asset file size for sharedassets0.resource
    Unknown file extension: .dat

"Failed to add the asset file size for sharedassets0.resource" in UnityEditor.HostView:OnGUI() when building the Windows player. Seems to succeed, though, so I'm curious what impact this will have.
