ipa bigger in Unity4.5?

    We just update Unity3d from 4.3 to 4.5 then we found the the ipa file is bigger almost 12 MB(37 MB in 4.5 compare with 25MB in 4.3)
    Does anyone get same problem?
    Is there anyway to optimize the ipa file?

    Its always seems to be ios with massive size, game I make on Android and iOS - always iOS way bigger in size sometimes even twice bigger..i think its been discussed some place before as lot ppl ave this issue

    Yes, mine has got larger as well. Mine has gone from 15.7 MB to 17. New versions of Unity add features, which increases the file size. They are planning a new option for Unity 5 that will remove unused features from the build, but I suspect that might be Pro only.

    Our problem look like came from ipa compression.
    Because we found that both xcode project and data folder size in Unity4.5 (built to xcode) are smaller than the one in Unity4.3
    If I try to delete 1 texture around 250KB, the ipa file will decrease 1MB
    It's so strange????????

    Does it matter if you change that texture from uncompressed to compressed (or vice versa)?

    We already double-checked, they're same setting in 4.3 and 4.5
    But after delete any texture the changing size is different and the final ipa also different (4.5 ipa is bigger 10MB more then 4.3 ipa)

    Are you using 2D sprites? We changed default import options at some point.

    Maybe something to ask Apple about? I doubt anyone here knows anything at all about Apple's compression scheme.
