Resolved iOS 14 Google Cardboard view is broken (up to Unity 2019.3)

FYI iOS 14 has managed to destroy all older cardboard apps on the app store!!
Not sure if getting fixed - maybe Unity/Google having a word?

With Unity apps it is any not using the newer Google SDK which is probably anything before 2019 LTS

Is Google just going to ignore the fact their own app and many others no longer function from iOS 14?

 

Actually they have working version (I tested there demo scene on my iPhone) for 2019 Unity:

But any way, it does not look promising. As this latest version work on graphic library that marked as deprecated in Unity.

 

You mean new SDK says set graphics API to opengles2 on iOS - yet that is deprecated?
Yes it is poor...

After speaking to the team they came back to me with the following:

"Google has released a Google Cardboard XR Plugin for Unity here. Make sure you are using that, and if you have any issues the Google team has requested you open issues on Github here where their team will address."

As we no longer support Cardboard I'm going to close this thread, I hope the response has helped!
