Installing a normcore VR apk onto a headset

I followed countless tutorials with normcore as I heard it is supposed to be easy. Made the app and added the realtime components, but no matter how hard I try, after I build the game and make an apk, that apk is not multiplayer. Anyone ran into this problem before or knows what might be wrong?
