Install stats on Unity Analytics vs. Google Play Console

    Hello. I noticed that Unity Analytics shows about 3 times more new installs than Google Play Console. I don't have this app on other platforms. Is this normal? Thanks!

    Yes, it's normal. We don't track downloads, but only when a user launches the game. Users may be (likely) downloading your game from elsewhere than Google Play (piracy).

    Thank you! It's a little surprising that the alternative sites would account for twice as many downloads of a free app as Google Play, but this seems like the only logical explanation. Do you know if IAPs and ad revenues will still go through Google?

    Yes, revenue would still come from Google.
