Good afternoon! I have an in-game 3D replica of my room. When I move in real life I would like my character, in the game, to move. GPS isn't accurate enough for this. While I don't need something precise, it cannot be multiple meters off. Is there an asset or documentation on Indoor Positioning? I've read about using the gyro and accelerometer for a crude estimate, but I cannot find additional information on accomplishing it.
You'll need an AR SDK like Google Tango or Vuforia. https://get.google.com/tango/ https://www.vuforia.com/
What platform are you on? It sounds like you are on mobile Gear VR or Cardboard? Because HTC Vive and Oculus Rift of course have positional tracking
Who is this directed to? They are asking about indoor positional tracking in a GPS-limited environment. You are replying to a 4 year old thread.
