Hello! I am wanting to produce a glass material for a lantern prop that I have imported into Unity 2018.3.8f1 but always stumble across a visual issue with the way in which the model's faces are displayed. The cylindrical inside faces obviously shouldn't be rendered in this way and so I was wondering if anybody knows a solution to making the glass appear as it should. I tried searching for a solution myself but this is hard to describe without showing
This is a well documented issue in rendering. https://answers.unity.com/questions/609021/how-to-fix-transparent-rendering-problem.html You can try segmenting the top piece in many smaller meshes, using cut outs shaders with dithering, or do some fancy depth pre pass calculations (way too much work)
Thank you for the reply. With the link you posted I managed to find a look that I am happy with! Appreciate it!
