importing an FBX with blendshapes Not working on meshes over 65K

    I'm not able to get the blendshapes to show up under the "Skinned mesh renderer" component, and I think it's because my model is over the 65K limit. As a test, I created a simple ball in Maya with blendshapes and it works. When I increase the poly count to over 65K on the same ball it doesn't. Must have something to do with the mesh being split into groups. Any thoughts?

    You are probably correct. Will need to separate the head from the body to allow for the importer to keep the mesh intact. That will add at least 1 draw call to the cycle but - better than not working at all.
