    Hello,

I downloaded a character from Mixamo and then a few animations like 'walking' or 'idle' and imported them in Unity.
After clicking on my model in Unity --> Import Settings --> Rig, I've changed the 'Animation Type' from 'Generic' to 'Humanoid' and applied. Then, i did the same things for my animations and changed the 'Avatar Definition' from 'Create from this Model' to 'Copy from other Avatar' with the avatar of my character model.

After creating the animator with my idle animation and playing, my character animation was distorted and the character body didn't have the good orientation. I spent the whole looking for a solution but nothing worked.

I specify that it worked with a 'Generic' Animation Type (my animations look fine and the character has the good orientation) but I can't make any Animation Layer with thoses settings (that's why i changed them to humanoid).

Does somebody have a solution to this issue ?

I'm currently working with 2019.3.0b10. Ask me if you need more informations to answer ^^

click animation --> Motion --> Root Motion Node --> instead of "none " do <root transform>

Nevermind, I jumped the gun. While that did work to correct my characters forward angle, it also causes my character to sort of weave left and right as I move purely forward. The same happens when I move side to side it goes forward and backward as it runs left. I am not using root motion on the Animator, this is a Mixamo model and rig. Any help on this front would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
