We are planning to release the official version of "Unity for PSM" and "PSM SDK 2.0" by the end of June.

For those SDKs, we've updated "PSM Application Development Guidelines".
Development Guidelines have been updated for upcoming SDK release
    https://en-support.psm.playstation.net/app/answers/detail/a_id/289

To distribute "PSM SDK 1.2" based contents to PS Vita TV Store, we will release the updated version of Publishing Utility later.

Please refer to the updated article re "Comparison between Unity for PSM and PSM SDK".

And the PS Vita's "rear touch pad" will also be supported in PSM SDK 2.0 as in Unity for PSM.

    My body is ready.

.. i mean i'l give these a good read and I'm looking forward to releasing lots of awesome games! ;) Thank you guys, great work!

Edit: I see no information about icons? do we just use a .jpg like image? Hows it wrap around the bubble on the vitas menu? Is there a way or template we can use to get a correctly fitting icon image? :) Surprised no ones mentioned this yet.

    Hi,

That's because no publishing related info is available yet.
There should be more information about submission nearer or after the release date. Not to worry it should all be there ;) . Current process in PSM takes care of icons which are submitted along with the master package. So it will probably be something similar. We'll make sure to provide all the details as and when we can.

Look forward to the games :).

Unity does in fact already handle the icon/splash images right from within the editor. If you look under Player Settings you see there are icon and splash settings.
The DevAssistant already uses the icons in the application list, and the splash when launching the app.

These settings will follow through automatically when creating the master package.

I was more wondering about transparency and the cut-off areas around the icon, for example Android can have transparency and it doesn't 'curve the edges off the icon like iOS does.

The PS Vitas bubbles seem more curved than iOS's cut off areas are, so it seems like some icon editing will need to be done so text and images are in the right places. Hopefully a template will be provided in the future :)

Ah, I see. AFAIK there is no transparency in the PS Vita 'bubble' icons. The cut-off area is basically an inscribed circle in the icon quad. (See the attached icon for the DevAssistant)

But I'm sure we can provide a sample / template for it as well.

Thanks eriQue, the dev assistant icon image will do :) My icons fit fine on iOS but as you can see need adjustments for Vita, for some strange reason i did not expect the safe areas to be a perfect circle as some of the current Vita games icons look to warp / wrap around the bubble. :)
