Import MAYA text to Unity

    I want to add non-GUI text to my unity scenes (I.e. for the lettering on store windows). But all of the unity text types that I use show through all of the other objects in front of them in the scenes.
    And when I attempt to import MAYA fbx text files, the faces of several of the letters (I.e. “A”) are consistently missing.

    Any suggestions?

    Okay. In maya, convert the text models into mesh polygons, then import the text into unity.



    Missing faces and you can see through objects?:eek:
    Okay. After converting the text into a polygon mesh, flip or recalculate the normals of the mesh. Make sure all of the normals are facing the same direction. Then you can import the 3d mesh text into unity.

    Make sure they polygons and triangulate the letters and they will be seen.
