I created an architectural model in 3ds max.
I placed walls with AEC Extended and then the function Wall.
Then I do an export with Export to Unity. Nothing happens and nothing is placed in Unity.
Then I do an export directly as fbx and place it in the folder in Unity under Assets, Models.
I then get a message related to the Geometry Conversion.
Then when I open the model in Unity the walls are no longer in the same place as in 3ds Max.

Try converting your models to Editable Poly before exporting from Max. The data of the AEC parameters are likely incompatible with the FBX format.

    Hello Deckard.
    That is not working.
    I get the same affect.
The outer walls do remain good.
Only the inner walls that are of a different thickness are randomly moved.

If I change the walls to editable polys then I cannot fit doors and windows any more. The openings in the wall will no longer be created.

can you share small sample scene with few doors/walls, that wont work on your unity scene?

i tested a few and didn't see similar issues.. (so just wondering whats the difference: export settings, import settings, other plugins in project, unity version, max version, something else..)

works for me (except that hole in the wall.. which is inside max file already)

3ds max had issues with the file also, until changed system units to meters.
exported with default fbx export settings, and default import settings in unity.

That is strange, when I do an export from Max to fbx and I open it in Unity the window is properly placed. However the walls are mixed up.
