Image does not compress to ETC instead it changes to DTX

    Hi,

    So my basic problem is etc compression not working properly I assume? Whenever I choose ETC it shows me DTX instead? What is the problem? I am attaching screenshot: http://prntscr.com/520535

    I guess if you want ETC you are making an Android game? Thy selecting the Android icon above the R of the greyed-out Revert button.

    Could it be Unity 4.6 Beta 20 Bug? as I am currently using that version or can it be the size?

    You'll have to force your texture to power of two.

    Hi, I ve forced the texture to be to power of two in photoshop and still same problem this is getting really annoying.

    What is more, now sometimes Unity throws this error:
    importer.GetNPOTScale() == TextureImporter::kNPOTKeep
    UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()

    It does not happen all the time, just sometimes! If I re import or go back to different settings and reverse to current this will be gone! What the hell?

    Um, that screenshot shows ETC texture. Wasn't that what you wanted? (The text overlay shows the texture format that will be used on the current build platform.)

    That makes no sense I have converted some images before to ETC and it showed ETC in the preview, as you can see on my screenshot it clearly shows DTX5 on the preview also as RGBA. Even if it would be using DTX for current build why does all other conversion show up in the preview except ETC? It is really confusing right now.

    EDIT:

    Oh My God ! I feel so stu**d ! I have downloaded the project through GitHub on different computer and totally forgot to change the platform. Small errors like this always takes longest to fix! However, thank you for your time and help ! So I doubt someone else will run into similar problem but the solution is to change the platform in build setting to Android !
