I'm having an issue getting UWP to host and join a room through Unet Match Making

    I'm trying to see if I'm the only one experiencing this issue with Unity's Unet multiplayer on the UWP platform.

    We have our current game hosting and join matches through Network Manager's CreateMatch() and JoinMatch() functions working fine on Android and iOS. When it came to testing it on the UWP platform (on the PC more specifically) it was unable to Host a match and Join another one started on another platform.

    I went back to our latest game to make sure the code and Player Settings was set up the same for the UWP and they were. I also re-purchased it from the Windows store and it was able to host and join another game on another PC. The only difference was that it was published with Unity 2017.2 and our current one is using 2017.3.1. When I got a hold of the project again and was forced to upgrade it to 2017.3.1 (as usual), I tested multiplayer again and it had the same issues as out current one.

    I'm aware that one of the steps needed was to have InternetClient and InternetClientServer set to true in the PlayerSettings under Publishing Setting/Capatabilites to get mulitplayer to work for UWP and it was set when I was testing both games. I'm wondering if there's another step involved that I'm unaware of or something else entirely.

    I'd like to know if any one else is having an issue with Unet for the UWP platform and/or if there is a guide somewhere out there that explains all the steps needed.

    Xinli, we reverted to 2017.2.2 and everything is working as it was before.

    Unity, please advise when you have fixed the problem, so we can go back to the latest version. If you need more info let us know. Basically the Windows UWP cannot create a match or join a match. iOS and Android builds from the same project work as expected.

    This problem persists in 2017.4. We are still using 2017.2.2 because of it. It is preventing multiplayer games on Windows UWP. Can someone at Unity be sure this is added to the list of things that need to be fixed?

    Hi : )
    This is not my area, but I heard of one possible duplicate.

    Try x86 and x64 config.
    If it works on x64 but not on x86 then it should be fixed in 2017.4.2f2 I believe : )

    We just upgraded the 2018.1 and multiplayer is working again for the Windows platforms! We are now able to test our games on all our platforms just like before!

    This is broken in 2018.2 and in 2018.3 beta. Any idea on which version will fix this again or if it's being tracked?
