    Hi guys,

    will the release version of 2018.1 support IL2CPP for Linux? I haven't seen any mention of it on any of the roadmaps so I think the answer is a no?

    Is there a reason why it was left out from the standalone builds? (Aside from any time constraints)

    Thanks!

    IL2CPP will not be available for Linux in 2018.1.

    It was left out for several reasons:

    1. Time constraints;
    2. Much much smaller user base on Linux;
    3. There is a lot more work involved to get it up & running on Linux than it was for Windows or Mac.

    We will get it functional sooner or later, but unfortunately I can't give you any ETAs today.

    All understandable. I'd just like to point out that Linux is a bit more important than it may seem from the raw user base numbers, in that it is the go to platform for dedicated servers.
