il2cpp.exe did not run properly

    I solved problem temporarily I downgraded my project to unity 2019.3.0f6 now its building succesfully

    That is rather interesting. The error message indicates that Visual Studio is not installed or found properly, but I don't think we changed the required versions of Visual Studio between those two Unity versions. If possible I would recommend following the instructions in the error message to install Visual Studio properly.

    'Hello Mr @JoshPeterson
    I am facing the same problem.
    I don't think there is an error in my visual studio
    I get this error only after choosing IL2CPP option, please help me

    I can't tell much from that screen shot, but it looks like there are some non-ASCII characters in the path to the project. The Android NDK really struggles with non-ASCII characters, so I would recommend trying to move the project to a path with only ASCII characters.

    This looks like an error that occurs in the Android NDK native linker. You might be able to try building this from a Windows computer if you have one available. In some cases the Android NDK tools behave differently on Windows.

    If possible, you may want to try a newer Unity version. We've updated the Android NDK in newer versions of Unity, and many issue like this have been corrected.

    This looks a lot like the NDK is not installed correctly, sorry. I'm not sure what exactly is the problem. Were you able to install the NDL from the Unity hub? Also, it might be worth trying with a new version of Unity. Or maybe try an empty project, that will indicate if the problem is with the NDK installation or if it is something more specific to this project.

    @PhoeniMaple Hi mate what is the language of your sytem? In these days unfortunately unity is not updating engine for local letters for example I was using Turkish as a system language. There are a few non-english special letters in Turkish like "ı" and I was taking that error too + I had a problems with vfx last week I updated my windows language to english now everythings works fine =) I hope it will help you have a great day

    Can you make sure that you have the latest .NET Framework version installed on this computer? The Unity installer should have installed .NET Framework 4.8.1, but maybe something went wrong.

    Can you check to make sure that .NET Framework 4.8.1 is installed on this computer? The Unity installer should do that, but sometimes it does not. That might be the cause of this issue.

    I am not sure how to check the version i have installed but when I try installing .NET Framework 4.8 it shows me this Framework 4.8 installler.PNG that i have 4.8 or a later installed . And i cant find 4.8.1 installer is it 4.8 ?

    But then i changed Scripting Backend in Player setting from IL2CPP to Mono and it build all good no errors. But i still want to build it for WebGL and i get that error that i wrote in previous post.

    Ok, so it looks like .NET Framework is installed with the correct version. Is Unity installed with the same user account that you are using to run it? Maybe there is some permissions issue here.

    I changed my Visual Studio account to use same Email as i use to run Unity. That did not help, i also restarted PC.

    I think this is related to the Windows account that you are logged on to the OS with, not the Visual Studio account. The problem seems to be that Windows thinks your current logged-on user account does not have permission to run this executable.

    I'm glad it worked, but I would not recommend running Unity (or any application) as administrator. You may want to still explore how Unity was installed. It should be installed with the same user account you are using to run it.

    Ok so i found that my Unity Hub and Unity 2019.4.2f1 was located C:\Users\Public\Desktop (my Destop is in C:\Users\luks3\Desktop) i dont know why i didnt change any default install settings when installing Unity hub and editor, that is probably Windows 10. Anyway I moved Unity Hub and Unity Editor to my Destop (C:\Users\luks3\Desktop) and run it not as administrator and it build with no errors (Is this correct solution?). But when i put that WebGL build files to my itch.io i still get errors i think its the same something about permissions or its something else?

    Yes, I think this is the correct solution.

    This error indicates that something in the code is using threads. WebGL does not support threads, so you will need to track down what part of the code is using threads. To do that, see the Player Setting for the WebGL build, there should be options there to enable exceptions and stack traces. This should allow you to see the functions called when this error occurs, and hopefully find the offending code.

    Sorry i made mistake saying that moving those files from C:\Users\Public\Desktop to C:\Users\luks3\Desktop fixed building problem. (I must have forgotten to Quit Unity Hub while i was running it as administrator, i moved those files and i thought that moving them fixed it, but next day i start unity hub normally not as administrator and i get that build error again). So what could by the problem here ?
    For this error i found this forum: everyone saying it must by bug https://forum.unity.com/threads/bui...ads-are-not-enabled-for-this-platform.664924/ (Changing C++ compiler configuration to release fixed, game is playable now). Also i am not sure if this is what you meant but if i go to setting and set these Stack Trace to Full and then what it should show me error or something ? stack tr.PNG

    As the error message states, you must install Visual Studio and the C++ workload in order to build a player with IL2CPP.

    I'm unsure what the problem is. For any project that uses the IL2CPP scripting backend, this error should be the same. If Visual Studio is installed with the C++ workload, this error should not occur. If it is not installed correctly, then this error should occur. Nothing project-specific can impact that.

    Hi, I am on Unity 2019.3.15 Windows 10 - No issues in Mono - Only with IL2CPP - pretty awkward error below - I included command line with stack - I have Arm7 and Arm64 checked and .Net4.x selected - I know mscorlib.dll' is .NET.

    Yes, the error message here is pretty misleading. I suspect that it does not indicate the actual cause of the issue. This does look like a bug in IL2CPP though, and one that I'm not familiar with at that. Can you submit a bug report and include this project, or a stripped-down version that causes this issue?
