    Just an update, mangaged to remove all the undefined reference errors by removing all reference to ARKit related ...

    managed to get IL2CPP compiled with no errors for 64Bit, but now there is no camera. Its an AR App. Strangely building IL2CPP for Arm7 and X86, its works fine

    There are a few different errors discussed in this thread. Can you provide specific details about the error message you see?

    I'm unsure what this build error means. This is a pretty long thread, with a number of different errors. Can you create a new thread for this error? That might help it to be noticed by others who can help.

    josh can you tell me where mavens folder is located in windows
    I am suspecting one of android studio location

    from my findings that is the gradle launcher 4.6 is located in android player when I change it to 3.2.0
    it stated that google() couldn't be read
    I am practically confuse at the moment
    now I downloaded gradle.pom and testing it out
    I inserted it in to different folders

    I got this errors and solved by changing non english characters of project folder's name to english characters.

    I fixed mine by just changing the date on my computer as it was not using automatic time

    I'm not familiar with Gamekit at all, so I can not help with this issue. However, I've asked some at Unity who would possibly comprehend to look at that discussion board thread.

    I've been dealing with this for the last 6 days I can not figure this out to save my life. I would really love to update my application but I updated unity and now all my projects have this error Can someone please help me?

    It looks like this is some problem with the NDK installation. The errors occur because il2cpp.exe is attempting to call the C++ compiler from the Android NDK, but that fails. Do you know where the NDK is installed? It might be worth checking to see if that NDK installation is correct. You can find details about how to install the NDK here:

    I believe I figured out this issue. I have had the same type of error, IL2CPP build fail, but a different error. But I believe it all ties to the "Path" system variable.I posted the answer on Stackoverflow.

    For your specific fix, your issue lies here:

    Additional information: Build a development build for more information. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

    You will need to go to your "System Variables" and then find your "Path" system variable, and then remove the "/Users/john/Documents/...etc", whichever you see there, and then try the build again. For some reason, the applications within IL2CPP pick up the directory paths, and then fail, for whatever reason. Removing these directory pathways seems to allow the IL2CPP to run through. But that depends from pc to pc. Everyone has different paths stored within their system variables. Hope this helps!

    It looks like Facebook.Unity.Canvas.dll is not setup to work properly with IL2CPP on Android. Maybe the project needs to get an updated version of this assembly? I'm not sure.

    This failure occurs because the code in the project has extern methods in C#. Methods marked as extern with a the [Dllimport("__Internal")] attribute must be present in a native library that is linked with the Unity player when building with the IL2CPP scripting backend.

    For example, this in this project one function which causes this issue is named: init

    You have two options:

    1. Build a native library with all of the methods marked as extern with the [Dllimport("__Internal")] attribute for the target platform and architecture of the player. See this documentation for details about native plugins: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/NativePlugins.html

    2. Remove the C# code which defines this extern method. You can do that with platform dependent compilation: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/PlatformDependentCompilation.html

    This can happen when the Il2CppTypeDefinitions.cpp file that IL2CPP generates can become too large. I believe that we have corrected this in the latest versions of Unity. Can you try to latest 2018.4 Unity version with this project?

    This failure occurs because the code in the project has extern methods in C#. Methods marked as extern with a the [Dllimport("__Internal")] attribute must be present in a native library that is linked with the Unity player when building with the IL2CPP scripting backend.

    For example, this in this project one function which causes this issue is named: GetBlendShapesInfo

    You have two options:

    1. Build a native library with all of the methods marked as extern with the [Dllimport("__Internal")] attribute for the target platform and architecture of the player. See this documentation for details about native plugins: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/NativePlugins.html

    Is there a non-ASCII character in the path to the project (C:/Users/zakifiles/Documents/Hero Rescue ? Adventure Puzzle Game)? The Android NDK tools often fail when non-ASCII characters are in the project path. You might want to try moving the project to a different location or changing its name.

    Hello there ...
    just add new model from unity hub to the specific version you are using and add a mac os build support, also ndk and sdk from the unity hub.
    it will resolve the issue

    Hello, I am also having problems with IL2CPP. I've tried a number of solutions that have worked for others in this thread and others, but I have not yet had any success. I continue to get the same 4 errors to my Unity console. I've discovered that I get these errors even when building a brand new "empty" project. @JoshPeterson, I see you've helped many with their IL2CPP problems before... I hope you can bail me out too!     I'm not quite sure why this happens. Can you try to build an empty project? This might mean that Xcode is installed incorrectly.

    This is an empty project, all it has is the default sample scene you get when creating a new unity project. I just installed Xcode yesterday upon reading one of your posts in another thread stating that 'one must have Xcode installed for IL2CPP build'.

    Ok, then I suspect something is wrong with the Xcode installation, although I'm not sure what it is. Maybe try to re-install Xcode? It is required to build with IL2CPP for macOS Standalone players though.

    I am reluctant to download xcode again because of its size, and it took a couple hours to complete the installation yesterday. However, I looked a little more into the "ld: library not found for -lSystem" error and discovered that this seems to be an issue with MacOS Big Sur. It seems that certain unity versions have this issue fixed. Before I was using Unity 2019.3. I just installed 2019.4 and had success with IL2CPP build on an empty project.

    ...Now I just hope that upgrading my actual project from 2019.3 to 2019.4 won't cause any additional issues. Thanks for your help with identifying the error @JoshPeterson!

    Is there a Network.dll assembly in the project? If so, where does it come from? This error message indicates that it is corrupt for some reason.

    it's my own library, I build it in another vs solution and pass assembly in packages folder. I've fixed this, but got another problem, it's a bit more complicated. Could you check this out?

    This looks like either invalid IL code, or a bug in IL2CPP, I'm not sure which it is. Can you submit this project with a bug report?

    The bug report has not yet been processed by our QA team, so we don't have a public issue tracker link to share. However, you should have received an email when you submitted the bug report with a secret link you can use to track its progress. Do you have that?

    Thanks again for the bug report. For others who might be interested, the problem in this case occurs because Unity does not support default interface methods. One of the assemblies in the project uses a default interface method.

    We're working on support for default interface methods, but I don't have an ETA for when it will be ready.
