il2cpp building error

    when i try to build for 64 bit android using il2cpp
    in unity 2018.4.17f1 i get this error.

    Failed running C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\il2cpp\build/UnityLinker.exe

    and this one.

    Exception: C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\il2cpp\build/UnityLinker.exe did not run properly!

    i tried everything but nothing works, any help would be great.

    What scripting runtime version are you using (that is available in the Player Settings)? This looks like it might be a bug on the Unity side, but we might be able to work around it also.

    I need to fix it as fast as I can, this ruin my plans to release my app, but I will submit a report, then what should I do after that?

    I don't have a work around, sorry! We will need to better understand what causes this issue to suggest something.

    I understand that, this error happens even on a new project, i just opened a new project and tried to build for android, and this happened.

    That is rather odd. Maybe something in that .xml file mentioned in the error message is corrupt. Can you try a new Unity installation?

    Oh, maybe it is specific to Windows 7. Can you try on a Windows 10 or mac machine?

    I don't think that, because I am working on a win 8.1 64 bit machine, and when this happened I tried the win 7 machine, in both machines I face the same error.
