I'm not at all digging this "twitter" style bullshit; At all.

  2. It would be deleted and it would be told that you should use Unity Connect.

Well, thats what unity connect is for, not the general forums.

Threads are far more likely to get locked than deleted. If you are looking for your own thread, click on your name in the top right next to Inbox and then click on "Your Content."

Thread of these nature get deleted, otherwise it would be too easy to game the system. Threads that violate the rules get deleted if there are no additional posts in it by others of substance. Deleting a thread punishes those other than the OP who have taken time to contribute, we avoid it when possible.

Also not that if you want to share the appropriate connect page or job ad on the forums, you can place an unobtrusive link in your signature. Nobody really objects to what goes there, although it must still be in compliance with the general forum rules.

This is actually a great idea. It won't be "spammy" and it could get the proper attention that Unity Connect doesn't really get.
