    Hi

Our first iPhone game which should be available for other handhelds as time passes, we called it Idyllic since your goal is to make things idyllic. This is an attempt to go from the typical vertical style of play to a more horizontal game play. We wanted to make something similare to Icy Tower and Doodle jumper yet different in both style, speed and game play.

The graphic changes and so does the music as you progress.

So we ended up with this so far:

You can find more videos and information at http://www.fatcowgames.net if you want to keep track of our progress.
There are still spots for beta testing by going to http://www.idyllisk.com/beta/ It is a bit difficult for some to register with their ID, but there is a small link to a guide on how to do it.

    Thank you :)

An early sketchup/mockup of the main character that might be used in the game, rather then the placeholder you see in the video.

We changed the character and are working to update the old background in hope of increasing the feeling of a big world.
Here is an example of upcoming new background + character + logo.

Looks very stylish though I don't get a feel of a big world with that background, there is too much visual "depth difference" between the floating rocks in front and the city at least out of my view. There is too much "nothing" kind off, it feels to disconnected that floating city / fortress

Thanks for your feedback, what do you suggest? Remove the city?

Why not? How doesn't it represent the game? Considering the game starts dark and moves towards a more idyllic setting? The music changes to fit the theme and title as you progress through the game. After all, the whole game changes as you play. You should elaborate more so I can take your feedback and make the needed changes, maybe even do a public vote on it.

After all, your feedback is very important but I need more information. :)

On other notes, we are getting mixed feeling about the character. So we don't mind letting the public decide on which one we should use or if we should make another one.

You can do the voting here:http://www.fatcowgames.net/?p=383

Great response on the voting, so we are trying some other designs for the character. Some people could relate to the anime style character while others prefered the previous female character. Hopefully we can find a middle ground. Stay tuned.

If you haven't checked the latest progress you can simply do it now. As usual, we change things based on feedbacks so feel free to leave one or two behind. If you are interested in trying the latest version for iphone/iphone4/ipad/ipad2 then please let me know.
If you are a reviewer or blogger, then we would like you to review the game.
