hello everyone, i used unity a few years and stopped, now, I want to create a new project, i have a partner that want to code with me, so i know that exist a service called unity collaborate, wich allows uploading your proyect in cloud.

Searching around, it seems the service no longer exists, and now there are some services called unity teams, devOps and unity version control.

Could someone give a clue about how can I setup my project to code with my partner? i ask this because by what i was searching on internet, it seem that now i have to pay for that, please let me know how it works, or any link that might help.

Hi Carlosamov, that's right, Unity Collaborate is no longer available.

Instead you have to use Unity Version Control. It's part of the Unity DevOps tools.
You can set it up and use it for free with your partner for code, as long as you stay under 5GB and 3 seats.

    • First, create your UVCS organization here: https://dashboard.unity3d.com/devops
    • Then, launch the unity editor and download the Unity Version Control package, via the Package Manager window.
    • Do your first checkin by uploading your project configuration files to the cloud.
    • Finally, invite your partner to join your organization. Once they accept the invitation, they will be able to add your project on their Unity Hub, by clicking the "Open" -> "Open remote project" buttons
    • Start coding, good luck!

Here is a tutorial that might be useful to start learning how to use it: https://learn.unity.com/project/get...m?uv=2022.1&courseId=6401bbfcedbc2a22aaebd59b

Thanks for the info, right now i manage to upload a project to a repository, but my partner is not seeing the project when he selects the option "Open remote project", i am still figuring out how to make it work. I invited my partner to my organization but i think i still have to invite him to the repository.
