    Hi my name is Kyle

I have recently over the past year started taking computer science classes at my school and want to take it a step further than what my school can provide and try and create my own code and hopefully make some 2D games along the genre of platform adventures. The thing is with my current experience I don't know how to start. Can anyone help?

Note: Iv'e been watching videos on how to get started but still need help.

Video tutorials really are the way to go. YouTube has a ton of videos that will walk you through creating a 2D (or 3D) game from start to finish. Here's one good example:

Yea youtube is full of tutorials.
My advise is start small, go big, start with a ping pong game then move to an arkanoid style game, then move to a tetris game, etc... See the pattern?

To be honest, I dont think your starting out too big. A beginner should be able to make a dumbed down version of a platform adventures game after maybe 2 weeks - 2 months of learning depending on how simple the game is.

    Comes down to personal capabilities.
    A genius could progress faster,
I speak for myself, started some years ago and started with some really simple stuff like a pong game and I'm doing some really complex stuff nowadays
