I think maybe you need to talk to Avast - 5.1 patch 2 false positive

    Hmm I use Avast and haven't been receiving any false positive. I would certainly hope you got your copy of unity from www.unity3d.com ?

    If that's not the official page, it might be a good idea to talk to Google, too, because it's the first result for "unity3d 5.1 patch 2", and not marked as an ad or anything.

    @SeriousBusinessFace - if a patch release is needed by you for specific bug fixes, then it's okay to download. If there is nothing critical in a patch release for your needs, then don't download it. The customers we have made bug fixes for (typically the Enterprise Support customers) have grabbed patches but not told us about false positives. If you do need 5.1.0p2, then please also report the false positive to Avast. The more reports they get, the faster they'll make changes. If 5.1.0p2 isn't needed by you, just move on to 5.1.1.

    Yeah I have been on the patch release as well, no false positive here from avast. Not sure what is going on there on your end @SeriousBusinessFace but I can't say I had any issues with it!

    Note: I am on 5.1.1 patch release however...

    I was unaware there was a 5.1.1. I'll report it to Avast, then.

    ...Huh. Turns out I was downloading 5.1.1 patch 2, according to the name of the download assistant file.
