Question I recently started working on the Rollaball project, is the level supposed to be black?

I have provided a screenshot (as Jeff usually requests) in the post below.

Have you tried changing the material? It would be helpful to know the properties of your object.

It's the Rollaball project on this website, right there in the learn section.

I am aware. The tutorial directs you to make the first simple objects yourself, so I needed to know if you made any variations from the tutorial. What direction is your light facing? If it is not facing down, that could be the problem. You also are still yet to answer the question of what material is applied to your Ground plane. I want to help, I just need more information.

If you have a look just up the page at the pic I posted last week, it was a cube, resized as per the instructions, and the colour was set also as per the instructions (I'm not sure but I don't think it's supposed to be black? More like red?)

This would be the ground on which the player sprite plays.

I also did a sphere for the player, but when I followed the instructions, the player sphere was resized to only half?

I think I might've done it wrong so I'll try again at some point.
