I'm making a Slender-like game called "Slender: Mowgli's Palace". It would be based on the creepypasta called "Abandoned by Disney". The models I need are the Photo-negative Mickey from the creepypasta, a gate with a sign that says "ABANDONED BY DISNEY" scratched in black, a Donald Duck head, a note that says "ABANDONED BY DISNEY" in black chicken scratch, a python statue, or anything that relates to the creepypasta. I'll use the items that are in the creepypasta except for the ABANDONED BY DISNEY note as the items that you need to beat the game.

The "ABANDONED BY DISNEY" note isn't in the creepypasta, but the sign that says "ABANDONED BY DISNEY" is.

Do you also need a programmer?

The asset store has many free models to use. The forums generally do not.

You'll get more responses if you post in the jobs forum (if you plan on paying) or the collaboration forum (if you don't).

    Are you serious?

You can't legally use anything you just stated above, I mean really?
Can't use the word "Disney" can't use any of the the items you described above, it doesn't matter if they are in Photo-Negatives or not.

People really should think before they try to go about making a game.
The key to not getting into any trouble is to resemble a game but have nothing to do with this said "Product, Character, Story, etc"

Disney or the rest of the world that has made a name for their product is not going to let you just ruin the name of their hard work to create it. They will either A) Shut you down, or B) Shut you down and sue the crap outta you.

Unless I completely mis-read what you said, I'd urge you to change things to your own product.
I wasn't trying to be rude to you, I just didn't know how else to put it for you to understand.

You have to be very careful when creating things.
Or you can be in a bunch of legal trouble.

Unless of course the Copyright for all this has expired, which I believe copyrights are good for 75 years.

So you need a programmer and an artist? What part of this game are you "making"?

@Misterselmo I'm trying to make the Character Prep 1 room, where the Photo-negative Mickey teleports away from to attack you and where one of the collectables are.

Cuz its way too ambitious of a project for somebody with no programming skills and it being your first game.

It's shocking how many people don't understand copyright and trademark law. I don't even bother pointing it out anymore because they never listen anyway.

You know what, I'm cancelling the project, and going to work on my Murder project. I'll get people to help me on it.

@Misterselmo I'll have you program the weapons in the game.

Well, I'm making it into a game, where 1 player is the murderer and the others are bystanders, but one of them has a gun and can kill the murderer.

Well, technically you're talking about getting people to do it for you and not actually making anything.

So here's your help: learn to do it yourself, because nobody can make it like it is in your head but you.

    HAHAHAHAHAH this is funny!

I mean take for example bro, I'm learning to play Violin again after 20 years. Best believe I don't remember a freaking thing about it.

You expect me to go up on stage and supposed to play a song but get a buddy of mine to perform instead because I *Can't* do it?

HECK NO, I want the 10 minutes of fame dang it! lol

Point is, don't jump into something you have no idea how to do it, it takes dedication, determination and the will to ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING TO BE GOOD AT IT!

Nobody is going to make your game, maybe after 5 years of showing people you know what your doing people wouldn't mind lending a helping hand for free, but you come here and expect to be a boss and tell people what to do, it does't work like that, a boss needs to know every in and out of what he's trying to do, and be able to actually lead by example to his employees / Volunteers.

And isn't there already a game about a Physcho murdering people that was listed on this forums about a month or two ago that really really frowned upon? LOL.

Ugh... I'll never understand the logic here.
Assume for a second that you did have the skills to make a game yourself. If some random dude approached you and said "Hey, I want to make a game with blah and blah, but I don't know how. Make it for me."
Would you actually do that for them?
This isn't the Matrix, and you aren't the only really real person with all others here as artificial background noise to give meaning to your existence.

Here is an example of a neighborhood troll everyone. He's not hungry anymore, so leave him to be lonely under his ugly bridge.

Un-frikkin'-believable. From Mickey Mouse to Murder. What a brat. I'll bet his pampers stuck to the wall when he threw them.
