    Hello people.

    So the thing is that i want to develop for both Android and iOS,
    i am fortunate enough that i actually have an iMac that i bought cheap, it is an 2008 modell, i also have a windows desktop system which is what i really want to develop on, because it is quite new from 2015.

    Keep in mind that i am am a graphic artist and not a programmer so before i actually start with unity. I have a question about;

    Can i develop my iOS game on my Unity on my windows machine, and then take the files to the iMac and publish it with Xcode on the Mac?
    Because i really want to make the actuall game on my windows machine. And what does it mean to "build" the game?

    Thanks,

    Baby.

    I haven't published to iOS because of lack of hardware but that was my understanding of it.

    Another thread about it here

    Yes. You can build the Xcode project in Unity and then use your Mac to push it to the iOS store. Now, I don't know what Apple / Xcode's requirements are as for OSX and Hardware.

    Building is the process of producing the files you need to distribute the game.

    You can still build on windows, just not to iOs... so you could build a webplayer or desktop app, for testing purposes, or hit play to test it in the editor... but to actually make the iOs app you have to have a mac, with the most recent operating system and xcode versions, and likely also an iOs device to test it on.

    Done it before. Totally possible to build the Xcode project on windows, then open on mac to do the build to iOS.
