I messed around in the packages and now there are problems

Hi, I was experiencing issues with some packages earlier, specifically the Core RenderPipeline one. The first issue was that there was a repeat of a certain file with a name that already matched another. So my first instinct was to delete it, which was a huge mistake, since it caused a bunch of other errors. Is there a way for me to get that initial file back?

You can reinstall packages in Package Manager.

I tried that, but it didn't re-add it. I even tried downloading it in a new project and copy and pasting it back to the original, but that didn't work either

What is the error that you are seeing and what package did you install? Please show a screenshot.

I would make a backup, then delete _localpackages and try again. You could start with a brand new project, but don't copy and paste anything. You need to import.

That may be expected if you didn't do anything different. Please provide exact steps to reproduce with a new/empty project.

It worked with that, but on the other projects it still doesn't

The errors now compose of stuff from other packages that are lacking references

    1. Open up Unity Hub
    2. Click New
    3. Open project
    4. Import the packages
    5. There are no errors in the new project, but when I import the assets, then when stuff starts to mess up

I meant for someone else to reproduce. What packages? Which one causes the issue? And we'll need the Unity version and package versions.

Can you test with a non-alpha version? (the a in a7 means alpha, b would be beta, and f is final)

Not a lot to go on! I just created a new project in Unity 2019.3.0f1 and imported the Core RP Library package without error, I don't see the version that you mentioned previously

I finally fixed the issue! It turns out a number of the assets were causing issues
