I just spent hours

I just spent hours trying to hunt down a code error which worked fine on my home server, not on the production server, only to find out the said code doesn't work on a lower version of said language. Banging my head against the table as to why I didn't guess this before, and the number of times I've uploaded, modified and googled could have been avoided.

Now I have to rewrite my code to account for this incompatibility.

    The end.

Any modular coding practices saving you time? Can you rewrite different chunks of it? How much time are you losing?

As someone who tried to make laravel and apache place nice, I know the woes of moving from a development server to a production server.

Thanks essentially, I was trying to work twig into my production server only to realise it is version > 5.3. So frustrating, as a lot of my initial work will need to be rewritten! Oh well, you live and learn.

Once you finished banging your head on the table, how'd it feel to finally know, what went wrong? Kinda nice, isn't it? :D
