You should prototype it. That's the only way to really know if your idea is going to work. Also, people can tell you if they like the idea or not, but they won't be able to give you real feedback unless they can actually play the game.

Any game idea can be made to work. Any game idea can fail. It all depends on the execution.

 

Sure if you want to get some commentary on your game idea. Everyone has a dozen of their own game ideas they don't have time to work on, so the risk of someone stealing your idea is pretty low.
