I have 20,000 addressables and 80,000 assets and now my editor is so slow I can't do anything.

I have plans on having 5,000,000 assets since I have an awesome particle effect maker I wrote that looks awesome & I should probably put on the asset store:

Right now I only have a little over 20,000 addressables and 80,000 assets.

Disk Memory shouldn't affect the UNITY IDE processing time, so how do I fix this:

That is a ton of Addressables.

There are some versions which have a bugged header inspector that scales extremely poorly to the amount of addressables in a group. Updating Addressables should fix it, if it's that.

When you post issues you should really mention the version of the package, and the version of Unity that you're experiencing the problem in.

I chose to use addressables since launching my tool took like 12 minutes when I just need a random pool of those 20,000 assets. I used addressables precisely because I had a ton of assets.

Thank you. I'll update everything first and let ya know.

    Addressables: 1.18.19
    Unity: 2020.3.29f1.1603 Personal

The message I get the most is: InspectorWindow.Repaint

And it seems it starts when I highlight multiple objects in my Project window.

I think I see the fix. I just closed the Inspector Window.

Also it won't let you drag and drop folders with similar names of files in them... Unity hits a sketch mode. Now that I understand this... It's cool.

    Changelog:
    [1.19.13] - 2021-11-29 -
    • Improved performance when displaying Addressables header for selected Assets.
    [1.19.6] - 2021-09-24 -
    • Improved performance of displaying Addressables Inspector in a very large Project.
Both of these are important updates when it comes to the performance of a large number of addressables.

It was the inspector window causing lag... I wonder if that what was causing lag in my DOTS/ECS game too...
