I found this on the asset store and just laughed. Enjoy.

Must be written by that "I Am Rich" app guy from some years ago. Same price point, same theme!

Quality assets right there. The diamond thing is easily worth $1000. I would probably pay $1500, cuz not only is it for Unity free, it also works with Unity Pro (forget the fact that I could buy Unity Pro itself with that)! Amazing!

Could be a typo. I've seen some other packages with high prices that later changed to much lower.

Then again, I know of at least one publisher whose products will bounce from $0 to $100 to $2 to ... whatever random number comes up that week. *shrug*

BAHAHAHA!!! I just bought Nugget. :) Does he have a Mecanim compatible rig? Should I fancy him up with PBR materials in Unity 5? Only time will tell!

Well...no...there's nothing to type; the prices are in a drop-down list of preset amounts, so you'd have to deliberately scroll down all the way to the bottom. Unless you want to try "oops, I was trying to select $10 and my scroll wheel must have slipped (a lot)". ;)

Not sure whether that's funny , or not.

You know some stuff get's rejected for bogus reasons, while this get's accepted. What kind of QA is that?

I have the feeling the AssetStore get's worse with every day.
They really don't need to wonder, when Unreal's Marketplace surpasses them one day..

It's up to publisher to set a price for his work. Unity, I guess, cannot say "your asset is overpriced, so you need to change the price". They don't evaluate the assets in terms of a value.

Nevertheless, you're all simply jelly because you can't afford this outstanding asset! I was just about to get ProCore bundle but screw that, Imma save that up and wait for the weekend sale of "3 diamons in a row".

I'm beginning to shrug every time i see UE compared to Unity here, even tho I like UE too. But good point about some stuff being rejected for silly reasons and this gets approved with a huge price.

Especially cause it says in the guidelines that if they feel the price isn't right they'll contact you to recommend a diff price. But then again maybe they did, and he didn't wanna change it, so they thought it was funny, and it is, and left it as is. xD

And my Katagon Procedural IK combat and parkour navigation system got rejected because 16 pages of detailed documentation with several dozen screenshots with multiple code samples and a huge demo scene with an AI opponent is not enough . I have to do a video says Unity.. Well, I hate doing videos and it would not clarify anything not in the documents. It remains on my HD until the day I don't have to do a video.

This is very odd. There seems to be no set policies and instead whoever happens to be reviewing the assets uses their own personal preferences. At least that is the message I get from your experience. Crazy.

This is certainly the case. Unity does have guidelines but some of them are interpreted differently by different asset store reviewers. For instance, my asset has been on the store for over a year. After it had been on the store for several months, I suddenly got an email back for one of my update submissions... There was a link in the description back to my website and I sell my asset both through Unity Asset Store and directly through Fast Spring for those who can't or don't want to use asset store. I maybe do one or two sales per month through Fast Spring... it's just there for convenience. The email I got back accused me of attempting to use my asset store package to promote sales outside of the asset store which is ludicrous. However, in this case they did not deny my submission, they just removed the link back to the product page.

If you're interested in seeing why, here is the page that was linked to:
    http://www.parentelement.com/assets/json_net_unity

I think what they took issue with was that I pointed out that Fast Spring purchasers would get immediate access to updates so they felt I was using the asset store to try to sell there.

Anyway, the point is... I had been through several updates without issue, and suddenly one reviewer didn't like it. So it is subjective. But, that's also human nature. They're going to form an interpretation of what they think the rules mean (within reason). I don't see a problem with it in most cases. Just sometimes they get interpreted a bit too loosely I think.

Once again, I'm late to the party. The link just takes me to the asset store home page.

Well...I guess now we know asset store staff are reading this thread. ;) For the record, it was a very basic match-3 kit going for $1000.

Wow. That makes me very disappointed in some things I've seen and attributed to just typos. I figured people were just forgetting to put the decimal place in on a few packages.

Well, if nothing else, this gives me another way to sort out the good Asset Store developers from the more shady ones. Thanks for the info. :)
