Bug I cant activate licence. "Unable to refresh license. Please try again."

When I try to activate persconal licence in hub 3.4.1 there is no reaction. After I click Refresh Update Licence it prints:
Unable to refresh license. Please try again.

Please help, I can't use Unity because of it!

 

If you're behind a proxy server that inspects traffic you'll have to enable an environment variable. Not ideal and I'm looking for other options but its documented here. Unity Hub not working with Browser Login [Please Help] - Unity Forum

 

I solved this error by deleting the "Unity" file from C:/ProgramData/

My problem was that the project wasn't opening after clicking on it. Knew it had something to do with license and clicking refresh license gave me the same error. @TuteDev's solution worked for me. Thanks!

Thank you! I tried to find a solution last 3 hours.

 

I am facing the same issue: Activation of your license failed. Try again or contact Unity Support for help.
for personal free licensing. I went into C:\ProgramData but I could not fine Unity file. And issue has not been resolved yet

 

There is a Unity folder with a cached license file.
Just had to remove it and reactivate to fix this nasty error.

 

Deleting the cached license definitely does not work:

Great, I deleted the folder before scrolling down to see the status page. Now I can't open projects. There goes my motivation for the day....

Aaaand the asset store lost all my favorites, great. Just great. Is there an ETA on these services being back online?

 

As that folder has a file describing your license in it, I wouldn't delete it. Rename it or move it elsewhere, maybe.

 

Yeah non of these Tips worked for me. The only "Unity File" in my Program Files is the Unity Folder which has all 3 Versions of Unity I use regularly. Also deleting the Liscene file which is actually held in "UnityHub" not the Unity Folder, Doesn't do anything as well. It just causes my Hub to Load forever. Gotta love bugs Unity will never fix!

 

What did "work" for me was uninstalling Hub and starting Unity directly. Others are saying you can start Unity directly without uninstalling Hub, so try that first (for me, that just starts Hub again).

If you forget which version of Unity goes with a project, look in the "ProjectVersion.txt" file under "ProjectSettings" in your project's directory.

 

I can't start Unity directly either... I wish I could though!

Have you been able to fix your problem? I was able to gain access to my editor by uninstalling the current version of hub and installing an old one. Perhaps this might help you out?

 

I solved this bug by enabling CNG Key Isolation service in services.msc

I just signed out and logged in then It work.. i didnot found any Unity in C:/ProgramData, so I logged out and logged in unity editor and it worked
